Each student opened a package of M&M's and we sorted them by color.  They then used their M&M's and graphed them according to color to see which color they had the most and least of.  I had several students who discovered they had the same of some colors and they decided those were called equal.  We also discussed using the terms greater than and less than.  This was an awesome activity and a lot of discovery learning took place by all students.
