Reminder: Valliant JOM/Title VI Indian Education Parent Committee will meet on Thursday, April 9th at 5:00 p.m. in the Valliant Administration Building to discuss and develop the 2026-27 program applications, budgets, needs assessment and end of year activities. Redlands Community College held a state Livestock Judging Contest were Addy Frazier, Raylynn Parsons, & Jamie Parsons exercised their ability to make educated decisions and justify the choices made. Each contestant was presented with 10 classes of various species and had to present 2 sets of reasons explaining the placing of each class. As a team, they placed 8th overall and Jamie was 4th high individual.

Valliant FFA members Addy Frazier and Raylynn Parsons were fortunate to be selected to attend the Oklahoma FFA Legislator and VIP banquet. They were able to advocate for agriculture and promote the programs thru FFA by visiting with Oklahoma Senate Pro Tempore Lonnie Paxton. Oklahor Legislative an April Petrolet OKLA IDORELINO

Oklahoma Youth Expo Soybean Skillaton is a contest where individuals are tested on cumulative knowledge of the four species exhibited at the Oklahoma Youth Expo: beef, swine, sheep, and goats. Each individual has to complete the Youth Quality Care of Animals certification then contestants take a written examine where the top 10 get to take a final identification practicum. The 2026 winners from Valliant included Mykah Parsons 2nd Junior division winning $750 scholarship, Raylynn Parsons 3rd Intermediate division winning $750 scholarship, Jamie Parsons 5th Intermediate division winning $250 scholarship.

Valliant FFA members Addy Frazier and Raylynn Parsons participated in different speech contests recently continuing to build their public speaking skills and networking with other FFA members. Addy earned 2nd in the 8th & 9th Opportunities division as well as 4th with the FFA Creed at the Pirate Throwdown. At the Elmore City- Parnell speech contest Addy also placed 2nd in the 8th & 9th Opportunities division and 4th in the 8th, 9th, & 10th General Ag division. Raylynn placed 1st in the 8th & 9th Opportunities division as well as 5th in the Ag Policy division.

2nd Annual JOM Day Camp to be held on Friday April 10th, 2026 in the cafeteria! All Valliant JOM students are invited to attend with "Make and Take" crafts and activities for all grades. Breakfast and Lunch will be served and all supplies will be at no cost to the students. There will be two sessions with instructors Presley Byington and Kim Chavez, come join us for one or both sessions. Please RSVP to reserve your spot! On March 30, 2026, the high school golf team competed in the Broken Bow Invitational, held at Cedar Creek Golf Course.

Raylynn Parsons placed 4th, Roo Suhr placed 10th, Hayden Lewis finished 3rd, Jase Stuart placed 8th.

The Vallliant Bulldogs Special Olympics team is hosting our annual SEA Walk fundraiser on Saturday, April 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM -- 12:00 PM at the Valliant Football Field! Come support our athletes and help us raise funds to be able to send them to the state summer games in Stillwater! We will have concessions, music, games, and an auction with some great prizes, one of which is a voucher good for FOUR home game tickets to the Texas Rangers!! ⚾️

Our High School track teams ran at Wilburton today. The kids represented Valliant well. Girls Mile relay placed 1st. Girls 2 Mile relay placed 2nd. Chloe Mifflin placed 1st in the 400m Kam Fennell placed 3rd in the 400m

The high school curriculum team attended the Southeastern Oklahoma State University curriculum contest yesterday. Students placing in the top 5 will advance to the state contest in May.
