The Valliant Middle School is so proud of our middle school robotics teams for their outstanding performance at yesterday afternoon’s live remote skills meet! Both of our teams represented our school incredibly well, demonstrating teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance throughout the competition. Their hard work and preparation truly paid off, and we couldn’t be more impressed with how they handled each challenge.

So proud of our middle school students (6th-8th) on their academic triumphs. We had nine (9) students place at the McCurtain County Curriculum Contest and receive awards. Kirrah Terry placed 2nd in ELA, Heidi Thompson place 2nd in math, Chase Webb placed 3rd in science, Jagger Prince placed 5th in social studies, Angel Hash placed 5th in ELA, Ava Morse placed 5th in ELA, Paisley Morris placed 6th in science, Chance Huseth placed 6th in math, and Gracyn Blake placed 6th in math.

We are so proud of our talented students and teachers for representing our school so well. Our students had incredible success at the County Trash-Off Poster Contest. The Middle School Division (113 entries countywide) was swept by Valliant students taking the top five places in the 6th-8th grade category with 1st – Sadie Bean (adv. to state), 2nd – Erin Shields (adv. to state), 3rd – Sophia Smith (adv. to state), 4th – Kylie Cline, & 5th – Chance Huseth. In addition, Mrs. Stuart was honored as Middle School Outstanding Art Teacher of the Year for her dedication and leadership in the arts. The High School Division (73 entries countywide) had five top ten finishes with 3rd – Alexis Luna (adv. to state), 4th – Mia Mothersell, 5th – Emily Dodd, 6th – Joesif Phelps, & 7th – Alexis Rivera. We are also proud to share that Mrs. Chavez received the High School Outstanding Art Teacher of the Year award! Way to go Valliant!

Valliant FFA has been preparing for their annual Spring Plant Sale. The students have been working hard getting ready for this event. It will start on March 25th. Please come by the Ag Building to purchase your plants.

Vegetable Plants: Better Boy, Early Girl, Sunny Boy, Beef Steak Tomatoes etc.
Sweet Banana, Jalapeno, Bell Peppers etc.

Hanging Plants: Creeping Charlie, Purple Jew, mixed pots.

The middle school was able to recognize and reward our students and staff for their perfect attendance and character for the month of February. We were able to recognize and reward three (3) students of the month, recognize and reward a student for their perfect attendance, recognize and reward a staff member for their perfect attendance, and recognize and show appreciation to one of our staff members.. #BulldogStrong

Congratulations to Kenny Golston and Jaxon Jones on receiving their All-Star Football Jacket!!! These two were selected by coaches to represent the best football players for Class 2A. This is a great honor and well deserved. Great job Kenny and Jaxon!!! GO DAWGS!!!

Bulldogs cleaned up again today at the 9th grade and Varsity SE Powerlifting regionals in Hartshorne. While all of these guys posted personal best some were the top dogs and found the podium. All podium finishers qualify for state.

The Valliant Middle School is proud to announce that Mr. Tony Mussett was selected as the middle school teacher of the year! We are so thankful for all you do for our students, school, and community!

7th and 8th Grade boys came prepared to compete at OPCA regionals in Hartshorne. Lifters compete for the chance to qualify for the STATE powerlifting meet. In each grade for JH, the top 5 lifters in each region qualify for state. Valliant qualified 9 lifters for the state meet next week in El Reno.

In addition to qualifying 9 lifters, as a team, Valliant's 8th graders are REGIONAL POWERLIFTING CHAMPIONS!

This has been an extremely rewarding year and season in weights with many coming to the weight room for the first time in their lives and to see where they started to where they are now in their strength goals is incredible.

The Band of Bulldogs competed at the OSSAA District contest and earned an Excellent (2) on stage and in sight-reading! This is a huge milestone! Congratulations to the high school band on their success this year!

Here are the dress up days for Dr. Seuss week! Elementary will also have the Spring Book fair available next week and will remain open during the parent/teacher conference for students to purchase books.
